Community Health:

The health of islanders at Songo Songo has improved radically following the provision of safe, clean water by Songas with cases of cholera and diarrhea dropping dramatically. Water is transported from Songas’s island desalination plant to three distribution points in the village. Housewife Rabia Abdurabi says it has changed her life. ‘My family is now healthier since we have been drinking this water. I also no longer have to walk a long way to collect water, so I can spend more time on my business of selling snacks.’
